Designed by John Carrick, Glasgow town council’s first “City Architect”.
These were the first City Improvement Trust tenements, designed in the vernacular "Scots" style to mimic the slums it was replacing and known as the Baronial tenements to commemorate Queen Victoria s Golden Jubilee of 1887.
